I became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Server 2003) in January, 2009  Microsoft decided to change their certification hierarchy for Server 2008, so I took the necessary upgrade exams. Each one made me a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in a specific area. I took these exams from 2/2010 - 7/2010.  After passing my last upgrade exam in 7/2010 I became a Microsoft Certified IT Professional - Enterprise Administrator.  I received a week-long training session at MIPS 2011 in San Antonio, TX.
